The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is the nation’s largest indoor flower show, which blooms every March at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Inspired by the culture and gardens of Great Britain, this year’s PHS Philadelphia Flower Show, is entitled “Brilliant!”

Perfect has provided printed materials for the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show for 10 years. Over that time, we have earned trust and built a solid relationship with PHS.

This year, in addition to printing posters in several sizes, invitations, group mailings, and several brochures, we handled the very important project of printing the event tickets. The challenges of this job were programming the various barcodes and human-readable codes, testing the bar-codes to avoid delays during the show, and providing the security needed due to the value of the tickets.

The tickets were color-coded by various types (general admission, student, tour operator, etc) and contained a single-use bar-code along with a human-readable code. All data programming was done in-house; our Nexpress digital press accommodated the variable data of changing colors and adding sequential numbering within the print run. We ran proofs for the tickets to be tested on the customers’ scanners, and all test sheets from the tickets were treated with utmost security and shredded.
